Boko Haram: Troops Burst Terrorists’ Logistics Cell, Kill Scores to Terrorists.

Troops prosecuting the war against Boko Haram at the weekend intensified clearance operations of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in the North East inflicting heavy damage on their camps and hideouts and killing scores after several gunshot fights, under the auspices of Operation Lafiya Dole.

In separate statements, Army headquarters said, “It is in this vein that troops of 231, 331 Battalions and elements of Armed Forces Special Forces Battalion, accompanied by some vigilantes,  conducted a clearance operation at Doksa village aimed at clearing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in the area.

 

“The team cleared all the routes in the general area as well as suspected hideouts of the Boko Haram terrorists before arriving and clearing the terrorists out of their enclaves in Doksa 1, 2, and 3, as well as Sabon Garin Doksa.


The troops also dominated the area with heavy artillery shelling against other registered locations of Boko Haram terrorists  at Buga Dam, Golgore and Lariski villages.

The Boko Haram casualties are enormous and troops have also intensified shelling other hideouts.

The troops also recovered 1 pick-up van, several motorcycles, several bicycles as well as drugs, foodstuff and books.

They also recovered 3 tires of a stolen military Hilux vehicle which was stolen on 19th December 2015. Other items recovered include a laptop computer, 2 mini laptop computers, 4 Dane Guns, 1 Blood Pressure measurement apparatus, 3 rifle magazines, and large quantity of ammunition of various calibres, a Nokia mobile phone and SIM cards.

They also rescued 4 women and 2 children.

In the same vein, another statement said, “On Friday 29th April 2016, troops of 7 Division Strike Group Team B attached to 22 Brigade, again embarked on aggressive mobile fighting patrol in support of the ongoing offensive operations  in Sambisa forest.

 

“This is in its bid to finally bring the terrorists’ insurgency to an end. In the process, the gallant troops have once again dealt heavy operational blow on the Boko Haram terrorist’s logistic cells.

“The troops invaded Yerwa and Kaluketu, where the Boko Haram terrorists kept rustled cows. The troops also attacked and cleared an enclave which they called “Abuja town” named after Nigeria’s capital city reflecting its significance and bustling life, as well as serving as their Logistics exchange point in the North East.

“During the operation the troops killed 4 Boko Haram terrorists and recovered 2 AK-47 rifles with registration numbers 58010938 and 58008270 respectively.

“The troops also recovered 29 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, 1 Dane gun, 1 Bow and Arrow, 2 Laptop computers and 6 mobile telephone handsets. Others include a big truck and 5 motor cycles.”
