A major catastrophe was averted in Maiduguri on Sunday when two suicide bombers, a male and a female, strapped with explosives exploded before getting to a highly populated market in the Borno state capital.
According to reports, “Nemesis caught up with the male and female suicide bomber who died from their explosive Sunday morning before they reached their soft-target”.

“The incident occurred close to the popular Monday Market in Maiduguri”.
“Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also confirmed that 17 persons were injured due to the blast, while escaping from the scene”.
“Those injured are being attended to by medical personnel in a specialist hospital in Maiduguri.”
